Macedon. Neapolis. Circa 500-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 10.07 g). Gorgoneion facing with extended tongue. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Dewing 1064. SNG ANS 223. Svoronos pl. 9, 33. Rare. Lightly toned, well-struck in high relief, and with a powerful head of a Gorgon. About extremely fine.
