Silver Medal 1968, The 50th anniversary of the foundation of Czechoslovakia / The occupation of Czechoslovakia August 21, 1968
Jiří Harcuba designed this medal for 50th anniversary of the republic. He was finishing the medal in August 1968 and these circumstances had an influence on its design. On one side is a woman kneeling with a lime twig, as a symbol of the Czech state, she is being aimed at by five bayonets, which stand for five states that attacked Czechoslovakia, along with them a snake and also a date 21.8.1968. On the other side is a motto "Truth prevails" with presidential banner used from 1920 by Masaryk and later also by Dr. Beneš. The medal was probably made in Switzerland. A response to this protest medal was quick and Harcuba was imprisioned for whole four months for his courage. In tense times despite possible persecution from the State security (StB) three members of Czechoslovak philharmonics succeeded to bring three pieces into the country. Original case.

Jiří Harcuba entwarf diese Medaille zu dem 50. Jahrestag der Entstehung der Republik und beendete sie im August 1968, was sich auf ihrem Design auswirkte. Auf einer Seite ist eine kniende Frau mit einer Lindenast, als Symbol des tschechischen Staates. Auf sie zielen fünf Bajonetten, die die fünf Staaten darstellen, die die Tschechoslowakei überfallen haben, zusammen mit ihnen eine Schlange und Datum 21.8.1968. Auf der anderen Seite ist das Motto "Die Wahrheit siegt" mit der Präsidentenstandarte, die seit dem Jahre 1920 von Masaryk und später von Dr. Beneš benutzt worden ist. Die Medaillie wurde wahrscheinlich in der Schweiz vollgebracht. Eine Antwort auf diese Protestmedaille ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und Harcuba wurde für seinen Mut auf ganze 4 Monate arrestiert. In gespannten Zeiten trotz drohender Verfolgung seitens der Stasi (StB) geling es drei Mitgliedern der Tschechoslowakischen Philharmonie drei Stücke in die Republik zu bringen. Im Originaletui.

Strieborná medaila 1968, Pamätná medaila k 50. výročiu založenia Československa / Okupácia ČSSR 21. augusta 1968
Jiří Harcuba vytvoril túto medailu k 50. výročiu vzniku republiky. Dokončoval ju v auguste 1968, čo ovplyvnilo aj jej prevedenie. Na jednej strane je kľačiaca žena s lipovou ratolesťou (symbol českého štátu), na ňu je namierených päť bajonetov, ktoré stvárňujú päť štátov, ktoré prepadli Československo. Na druhej strane je vyobrazené heslo "Pravda vítězí" s prezidentskou štandardou používanou od roku 1920 Masarykom a neskôr i Dr. Benešom. Medaila bola realizovaná v zahraničí, pravdepodobne vo Švajčiarsku. Odozva na túto protestnú medailu na seba nenechala dlho čakať a Harcuba bol za svoju odvahu uväznený na celé štyri mesiace. V exponovanej dobe sa podarilo trom členom Československej filharmónie priviesť tri medaily do republiky i napriek hrozbe perzekúcií zo strany ŠtB. Originálna krabička.
