Clydesdale Banking Company, proof £20 on card, 4 September 1865, black and white, arms of Glasgow top centre flanked by value in pale red ovals, Bank name in pale red underprint at centre, bank initials in ornate vertical panel at left, W & A K Johnston Edinburgh engraving(Douglas 7 for type), black SPECIMEN NOTE handstamp twice on obverse, staple holes, mounting traces on reverse at corners resulting in slight damage, some foxing, otherwise good fine and rare.
