KM-181.2. "40 BZ" and "Cantonal shield" countermarks on a French Louis XVI 1761-R Ecu(KM-572). An excellent example of this normally well worn series. The countermarks, applied at the same time, are deeply impressed showing all of the fine details. Lightly toned with luster in the protected areas. NGC AU-50 C/S AU Strong.
