Abbasid, al-Mu'tamid (256-279h), dinar, without mint-name, 274h, obv., citing al-Mufawwad illa-'llah, rev., with bakh below name of caliph, 4.26g (Bernardi 175, citing a single specimen in Berlin), some scuffs, very fine to good very fine and extremely rare. It has been suggested that these mintless dinars may be connected to contemporary issues struck by the Amirs of Crete during the 270s, which similarly lack a mint-name.
