Panama, silver medal, (1956), Alfredo Lezcano Gomez, ex-Richard Stuart. 63 mm x 35 mm; 55.37 grams. Rectangular silver medal awarded for meritorious service by members of the National Guard of Panama. The decoration itself is named after Lieutenant Colonel Alfredo Lezcano Gomez, Chief of the Presidential Guard, who was shot and killed on May 10, 1951 during the removal of President Arnulfo Arias from his office.
