Rare excavated Spanish military miquelette musket lock, ca. 1800. 432 grams, 5-3/4" long. This steel miquelette lock was excavated from a north Florida colonial habitation site where miquelettes were used by the Spanish military during the second Spanish period in Florida (1781-1821). Very good condition with complete lock, hammer frizzen and external main spring, rusted brown patina all over. A great displayable artifact. With photo-certificate.
