Guatemala, Central American Republic, 1/4 real, 1847, very rare, encapsulated NGC MS 63, finest known in NGC census. KM-1. Choice luster and strike, with faint hairlines on reverse and therefore probably net-graded down from MS 66 or so, in any case top grade at both NGC and PCGS, and the better of just two in the NGC census by TEN GRADES (the other being the next lot here), far and away the finest known of this key-date rarity (listed without values in KM).
