Mechanische Musikinstrumente
Singvogelautomat, Karl Griesbaum. Deutschland, Mitte 20. Jahrhundert, Model 19B, 10,5 x 6,5 x 4,2cm. Vergoldete Box, überzogen mit Verzierungen aus Sternen und Wirbeln. Kleiner "Singvogel" mit rotem Unterkleid, beweglichen Metallschnabel und -federn, dreht seinen Körper zu andauerndem und klaren Vogelgezwitscher. Start/Stopp-Hebel an der rechten Vorderseite; mit Schlüssel und kleiner Holzschatulle. Der kleine "Singvogel" kommt zum Singen aus seiner Box und rotiert. Er ist nett anzuschauen, obwohl er seine Federn, Füße und seinen Schwanz leider bereits verloren hat. Die Box selbst ist in gutem Zustand (auch wenn der Deckel seltsamerweise nicht geschraubt, sondern geklebt wurde), und Mechanismus und Balg arbeiten zuverlässig. A singing bird box by Karl Griesbaum. German, mid-20th Century, Model 19B, 10.5 x 6.5 x 4.2cm. Gilt box covered with sweeping intricate scrollwork consisting of stars and swirls. The small bird with red undercoat, moving metal beak and wings, rotating its body to constant and clear birdsong. Start/stop switch to front right, with key and small wooden case. The hardy little bird in this box is still singing & swaying true, but he has lost his feathers, his legs and tail piece. The box itself is in good condition (although the top, interestingly, does not have screw holes and so has been glued to the base) the mechanisms and bellows are in good working order.
