Large Cents
1853 1C N-13, R.1, MS65 Red PCGS. Die State b, as usual for Mint State examples of N-13. The 1 in the date is recut at its base. This Gem Red type coin displays original, frosty copper-orange luster with no major carbon spots. The usual weakness is seen on select stars and to a minor extent on the hair curls around Liberty's ear. No abrasions are observed. Our EAC grade MS64. Population (all varieties included): 71 in 65 (1 in 65+) Red, 18 finer (9/17).
