1854 1C N-13, R.3, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Grellman Die State a that he describes as "Very Rare." This piece shows three short lines up from the dentils below the 54. The obverse retains about one-third of the original orange mint color with bluish-brown toning, and the reverse has about half of its mint orange remaining, also with blush-brown toning. Neither the Holmes nor Naftzger offerings had an early die state piece. Our EAC grade MS63.
