Liberty Nickels
1886 5C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Although not heralded as highly as the 1885, the 1886 Liberty nickel is actually the scarcer of the two key dates in high grade. This CAC-endorsed Gem is satiny with warm champagne-gray toning and no distracting abrasions. Several obverse stars are weakly struck, although the lower wreath shows slightly better definition. Population: 70 in 65 (7 in 65+), 11 finer. CAC: 9 in 65, 10 finer (9/17).
