Liberty Nickels
1889 5C MS66 PCGS. CAC. A conditional rarity at the Premium Gem level, the 1889 Liberty nickel saw an increase in the number of pieces struck per average die over previous years. This piece is fairly well-struck on the obverse save for stars 1 and 2, and some detail shows on the lower wreath details. The surfaces are faintly pebbly and lustrous with an attractive gold-gray appearance. Population: 47 in 66 (5 in 66+), 0 finer. CAC: 20 in 66, 0 finer (9/17).
