1936 5C Doubled Die Reverse, FS-801, MS64 PCGS. CAC. Minor die doubling occurs on all reverse lettering, easily identified by extreme thickness of the letters. PCGS has certified relatively few Uncirculated examples of this variety with attribution. The current Choice example displays brilliant, satiny luster and is devoid of obvious abrasions. The strike is sharp and from fresh dies with no metal flowlines in the fields. Population (FS-801): 5 in 64, 7 finer (6/17).
