Bust Dimes
1836 10C JR-3, R.3, MS64 NGC. The relative survivorship of the 1836 Bust dime (1.1 million coins struck) is low compared to other issues in the series. Many coins from the reported mintage were likely dated 1835. Three varieties are known, this one showing the 10 far from the C. in the denomination and a Block 8 in the date. Both sides are strongly detailed with softness limited to Liberty's curls. Brilliant surfaces radiate frosty luster, and few major blemishes are seen. Census (all varieties): 32 in 64 (2 in 64+), 12 finer (8/17).
