Mercury Dimes
1916-D 10C VG8 PCGS. Original battleship-gray patina gives this VG 1916-D Mercury dime pleasant eye appeal. The surfaces are smooth, and the rims are complete. This issue's small 264,000-coin mintage was a result of the Denver Mint being ordered to cease dime production in late 1916 in order to divert resources into the coinage of millions of Barber quarters.
