1805 25C B-1, R.4, VF25 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 2/2. The scarce Browning-1 1805 often shows weakness at the top row of field stars and the clouds above, as does this example, yet the overall definition is bold for the VF grade. Pleasing silver-gray surfaces deepen in areas to bluish-gray. A few shallow lines and minor abrasions are scattered across the reverse, but remarkably few marks exist on the obverse. This is a nice midgrade coin with considerable appeal.
