Early Quarters
1807 25C B-1, R.2, VF20 PCGS. CAC. Tompkins Die State 4/2. The flag of 5 in the denomination is buried in the arrow fletchings to identify the Browning-1 die marriage. As usual, the dentils and edge reeding are missing between stars 6 and 8 at the upper obverse. This is a richly toned brownish-gray example with deep-tan shades on the high points. Strong definition exists throughout both sides for the VF designation. Two minor rim bumps exist on the obverse -- one at 12 o'clock, the other at 3 o'clock -- although they are of little concern on this CAC-endorsed coin.
