1819 25C Large 9, B-1, Low R.5, VF35 PCGS. CAC. Tompkins Die Stage 2/1. Nearly two centuries after its production this Choice VF quarter retains its original surfaces with olive patina in the fields and steel-gray hues over lightly worn devices. A few spots of gunmetal-blue patina are also noted. This very scarce variety becomes exceedingly elusive in higher grades. Population: 8 in 35, 31 finer. CAC: 3 in 35, 5 finer (9/17).
