1870 1C MS65+ Red PCGS Secure. Bold N reverse. Lustrous, fire-orange surfaces display attractive red highlights on both sides of this lovely semikey cent. A bold strike shows strong detail on the headdress, wreath, and shield. Two or three microscopic spots on the reverse are visible with a glass, but do not distract in the least from the appeal of this vibrant Gem example. This is the only Plus-graded Mint State coin seen by PCGS for the issue. Population: 39 in 65 (3 in 65+) Red, 7 finer (9/17).
