Proof Two Cent Pieces
1871 2C PR66 Red PCGS. Light pumpkin-gold surfaces are flashy and exquisitely preserved without any post-Mint contact to mention. There are several spindly lint marks on each side that will help identify this piece in future sales, but they, of course, have no impact on the technical quality or eye appeal. Strike characteristics are absolutely razor-sharp, which should come as no surprise. From a reported mintage of 960 proofs. Population: 18 in 66 (2 in 66+) Red, 2 finer, including Cameo (9/17).
