Bust Half Dimes
1834 H10C 3 Over Inverted 3, V-2, LM-3, FS-301, R.3, MS66 PCGS. As the variety flatly states, the 3 in the date is punched over an initially inverted 3. Valentine-2 is distinguished from Valentine-5 by the placement of the final S in STATES over the break between S and U. A trace of pale gold and ice-blue color complements mostly brilliant, incredibly clean surfaces. Light clash marks occur on each side. Sharp with softness limited to stars 12 and 13, and the tops of UNITED. Population (all varieties): 17 in 66, 9 finer (9/17).
