1901-S 25C VG8 PCGS. CAC. The 1901-S is the most difficult acquisition in the Barber quarter date and mintmark set, in both low circulated grades and Mint State. There is strong availability for coins in AG or even Fair condition, and Good 4 coins with barely-there rims are frequently seen. This CAC-approved VG coin with sharp, defined rims on both sides and a solidly visible LI-Y in LIBERTY is a scarce and in-demand level of quality among lower-grade circulated coins. The surfaces are two-toned cameo with light gray relief elements and deeper pewter-gray fields. No distracting marks are seen.
