Early Half Dollars
1794 50C O-101a, T-7, High R.3 -- Obverse Planchet Flaw, Improperly Cleaned -- NCS Genuine. VF Details. Tompkins Die State 1/3. The late-state die crack between olive leaves is not yet seen, suggesting a middle die stage. A free-form planchet flaw or strike-through runs across the portrait, while the slightly mottled toning indicates an old cleaning. Still, this is an appealing mid-grade example of the always in-demand 1794 Flowing Hair half. VF definition remains, as does deep, golden-gray toning throughout both sides.
