1849 $10 Moffat & Co. Ten Dollar, "Ten Dol." AU50 NGC. K-6a, High R.5. This variety is similar to K-6, but the numerals in the date are larger and, on the reverse, the middle arrow points below the period following GOLD, rather than above it. This piece shows generally good striking quality on the obverse, with typical softness on the reverse eagle. The green-gold surfaces display even high point wear and numerous small hits on each side. Overall, an appealing high-grade example of this rare issue. Listed on page 395 of the 2018 Guide Book. Census: 2 in 50, 10 finer (9/17).
