1885-CC $1 VAM-3, Eye Die Scratches, MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. CAC. Vibrant peach-gold toning fills the borders. The frosty motifs contrast starkly against flashy fields. Initial strikes for VAM-3 show die fill within the Cs of the mintmark. Later, the dies were lapped, which removed the die fill within the mintmark, and created mirrored fields as seen on the present coin. Certified in a prior generation holder. CAC Population: 30 in 65 Deep Prooflike, 15 finer (9/17).
