1943 1C Cent -- Struck on a Dime Planchet -- AU55 PCGS. Struck on a dime planchet, smaller in diameter than a cent planchet, which results in a broadening of the details and loss of high-point definition. Grading must be done by the degree of remaining mint luster. The silver-gray surfaces show darker, russet accents surrounding the devices on each side. Of special interest to error specialists because of the increased interest in all 1943 cents struck in off-metal compositions.
