1874-S $20 MS61 NGC. Block S. The three basic mintmark styles are described as a Small S, Broad S, and Block S, this piece representing the last of those styles. Although countless surface marks are evident, limiting the grade, all are trivial and inconsequential. Both sides exhibit frosty yellow luster. Examples are rare in higher grade, and NGC has only certified 43 numerically finer examples (10/17).
