1884-CC $20 AU53 PCGS. The 1884 Mint Director's Annual Report noted that "gold deposits, coinage, and work at the [Carson City Mint] varied but little from that of the previous year." Double eagle output increased to 81,139 pieces from just under 60,000 coins in 1883. Remaining luster glows from the stars and other protected areas of this green-gold twenty. Abrasions are unobtrusive, and strike detail is crisp with only slight high point wear.
