A popular but enigmatic counterstamp, the issuer is unconfirmed. Recent research by noted counterstamp authority Bill Groom draws a link between the issuer of TRY COREY'S OINTMENT (believed to be Dr. Medad S. Corey) and the SAGE'S CANDY COIN marks by comparing the common letters between the two punches. They appear to come from the same maker.
