1838 50C GR-9, R.3, MS62 NGC. Diagonal die lines in the shield indicate an early die state, and the lack of a die crack through the cap confirms the prime stage. This example is sharply struck at the centers, although a few of the stars lack central details. Attractive golden-tan toning enhances the softly lustrous, smooth surfaces.
