CELTIC, Carpathian region. Uncertain tribe. circa 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 13.51 g, 8 h), 'Audoleon monogram' type. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Horseman to right; below horse, stylized Audoleon monogram; above and to right, ornaments. Dembski 1343-1345. Lanz 723. OTA 429/1. A nicely toned and well centered example. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, good very fine.
