KYRENAICA. Kyrene. Circa 480-435 BC. Drachm (Silver, 14 mm, 3.09 g, 11 h), 'Asiatic' standard. Silphium plant with fruits. Rev. Head of Zeus-Ammon to right, bearded, with ram's horn over his ear; around, [K-Y-R-A]; all within round dotted frame within shallow incuse. BMC 54. SNG Copenhagen 1178. Rare. Rough surfaces, otherwise, good fine.
