ASIA MINOR. Uncertain. Divus Augustus, died 14. Hemiassarion (?) (Orichalcum, 20 mm, 6.50 g, 7 h). AVGVSTVS Radiate head of Augustus to right. Rev. DE[DV]CTOR Curule chair. RPC I 5432 var. (head to left). Apparently unpublished and unique. A very interesting issue. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
Exactly where this coin comes from is uncertain, although an origin in Asia Minor is quite probable. The reverse calls Augustus a deductor, thus referring to his role in the founding of a colony.
