Jamacoaque Shaman from Ecuador, ca. 300 BC - 400 A.D. An interesting Jamacoaque shaman pendant figure from Ecuador, ca. 300 BC - 400 AD. It is 3-1/4” high and depicts a standing shaman wearing a complex mask and ceremonial attire. This type is sometimes referred to as a “Spaceman” figure due to its similarity to men in spacesuits. Choice example, nicely burnished, perforated for suspension, mounted on stand. Ex Kowinski estate. Value range: $200 - $300.
