Memorial Plaque, 1914-1918 (Alfred Winch); mounted within handsome dark wood, contemporary circular frame by Humpreys of Streatham, extremely fine. Lance-Corporal Alfred Winch, of Nettleswell Common, Harlow, Essex, was killed in action on 1 July 1916, the 'First Day of the Somme', and is remembered at the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
