Marciana, sister of Trajan (died 112 AD). AE 19 mm. Sardis mint, Lydia. Reign of Trajan, c. 105-112 AD. Obv. MAPKIA CЄBACTH. Draped bust right, wearing elaborate coiffure. Rev. [CAP]ΔIA N[Ѡ]N ΠЄΛO[Y]. Pelops riding horse right, holding whip and raising hand. RPC III, 2398. BMC 132. SNG von Aulock 3150. AE. g. 4.30 RR. Very rare. A superb example, with a charming portrait, of wonderful style. Lovely deep orichalcum toning, with lighter hues. About EF.
