Furia Sabina Tranquillina, daughter of the praetorian prefect Timesitheus, was married to Gordian III late in 241 AD, her first appearance on the Alexandrian coinage being in regnal year 5 (late August 241-2 AD). The unfortunate young empress lost her father during the winter of 243-4 and her husband just a few months later, her subsequent fate being unknown. (D.R. Sear, Roman Coins III, p. 142).
