SICILY. Syracuse. Hieron II, 275-215 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 27 mm, 16.48 g, 8 h). Diademed head of Hieron II to left. Rev. IΕΡΩΝΟΣ Helmeted cavalryman on horse prancing to right; below right, N. CNS II, 195. SNG ANS 924. Well struck with an attractive, glossy dark green patina. Minor die break on reverse and traces of overstriking on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
