From the collection of W. F. Stoecklin, Amriswil, Switzerland, ex Hamburger 98, 3 April 1933, 693 and from the Halmyros Hoard IGCH 289, found in a pot near Larissa Kremaste in Thessaly around 1929.
There are traces of red sealing wax on the reverse this coin: up to the early part of the 20th century sealing wax was commonly used to make semi-permanent molds in order to make casts for scholarly use.jIf carefully examined, many coins from really old collections will be found to have such wax spots.
