ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. early 1st century AD. Drachm (Bronze, 34 mm, 18.11 g, 12 h), Sphairos. Radiate head of Helios facing slightly right. Rev. PO ΣΦAIPOΣ Rose seen from above; all within oak wreath. Ashton 105-6 SNG Copenhagen 870. Attractive green patina. Some deposits and breaks in the patina, otherwise, very fine.
