CELTIC, Central Gaul. Pictones. Late 2nd - early 1st century BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 3.22 g, 2 h). Celticised head to right with four pellets on cheek. Rev. Rider holding long shield to right; below, hand. Depeyrot, NC III, 75. DT 3341-3342. LT 4439. A very attractive example of this rare type, one of the finest known, with a beautiful brown patina. Reverse struck slightly off centre, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
