LUCANIA. Thourioi. Circa 443-400 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 7.79 g, 2 h). Head of Athena to right, her helmet adorned with olive wreath. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting left; below, Θ; in exergue, fish to left. HN III 1764. Nicely toned and surprisingly uncommon with the bull to left. Sharply struck. Double struck on both sides and with a ragged flan, otherwise, about extremely fine.
