THESSALY, Thessalian League. Circa 196-27 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 6.06 g, 12 h), Python and Kleomachides, struck circa mid to late 1st Century BC. Head of Zeus to right, wearing oak wreath. Rev. ΘEΣΣAΛΩN / [Π]VΘΩN[OΣ] / KΛOMAXIΔ (sic!) Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear with her right hand and extending shield with her left; to right, tripod. BCD II 848. Dewing 1373. Good very fine.
