SICILY. Gela. Circa 480/75-475/70 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.55 g, 4 h). Quadriga driven slowly to right by a bearded charioteer; above, Nike flying right to crown the horses. Rev. CΕΛΑΣ Forepart of man-headed bull to right. Jenkins, Gela 110 (O33/R64). Randazzo 21 (same dies). SNG ANS 23 (same obverse die). Lightly toned, with a particularly attractive reverse. Obverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, very fine.
