This quadrans is of the 135-125 BC period and must be classified with RRC 272 (McCabe Group L1). However due to the incorrect image being used to illustrate RRC 272/2 on plate XXXIX (shown is a quadrans from the earlier series RRC 197 [McCabe Group K3], dating to 157 BC), coins from the later series of which this is a part are often misidentified.
