Seated Dimes
1860-O 10C F-101, R.3, XF45 PCGS. CAC. Only 40,000 dimes were minted in New Orleans in 1860, and high-grade survivors are near the top of many Seated Liberty dime collectors' want lists. XF and AU coins are genuinely rare, and Mint State pieces are prohibitively so. This example offers surfaces that still have hints of luster, with tinges of ochre on the reverse and amber and ice-blue on the obverse. An appealing piece, lacking distractions. Population: 3 in 45, 8 finer. CAC: 2 in 45, 4 finer (10/17).
Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 5/2007), lot 296.
