Bust Half Dollars
1823 50C O-109, High R.5, XF40 PCGS. Attributes for the 1823 O-109 half dollar include a reworked 3 in the date, several prominent obverse die cracks, and the first T in STATES positioned far right over the I in PLURIBUS. This is a pleasing XF example with iridescent colors beneath olive-gray and blue overtones. Minor surface marks are grade-consistent and strong definition remains throughout. A very scarce variety, seemingly more challenging than its high R.5 rating.
