Walking Liberty Half Dollars
1916-D 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. The 1916-D is slightly scarcer than its Philadelphia counterpart in MS66 and finer grades. While we occasionally offer Premium Gems, the present example is one of the most appealing coins in this grade that we have seen. The surfaces are brilliant and original with the characteristic soft, mattelike luster of the issue. From a technical standpoint, the most important features are a virtual absence of abrasions and an above-average strike. Housed in a green label holder. Population: 71 in 66 (1 in 66+), 3 finer. CAC: 21 in 66, 1 finer (10/17).
Ex: Philadelphia Signature (Heritage, 8/2000), lot 6038.
