Early Dollars
1799 $1 7x6 Stars, B-12, BB-160, R.3, AU53 PCGS. Bowers Die State III, heavily cracked at the date but not yet cracked through the left-hand stars. Evenly struck with well-defined stars, this AU BB-160 dollar is also free of visible adjustment marks. Both sides display light golden toning and hints of luster remain in the protected regions of the fields. The only imperfection is an old, hair-thin line that stretches up from the reverse rim right of the eagle's tailfeathers toward the O in OF.
